DAY IN THE LIFE | The Bummer Family

Do you ever get that feeling that life changes too quickly?  That you close your eyes one minute and the next everything is different?

Despite super busy work lives, Nikki and Tim squeeze fun out of every minute.  Now life is about to change.  Nikki and Tim will soon be outnumbered.

I spent the morning with this awesome soon-t0-be family of five.  I asked them how they felt about the impending addition and Tim said, “I remember feeling nervous before Hattie was born and now I can’t imagine a life without her.  I’m sure it will be the same with this baby.”

While this new baby will undoubtedly be quickly folded into their daily routine, and their years as a family of four will fade into memory.  With these pictures they’ll be able to look back and remember a morning when they were still just a family a four.  And they’ll probably laugh at how easy they had it when they could still team up man-to-man.

Want to learn more about a day in the life session for your family?  I’d love to chat about what you’d like documented!  Shoot me an email with questions or to get the ball rolling!

Sylvie Grahan is a documentary family photographer located in the Twin Cities, Minnesota.  Her passion is documenting real life and the little things — because she believes that one day they will be the most important things.  She lives with her family in Minneapolis: a husband who becomes twitchy without a daily run, a three year old with an affinity for sleeping on hardwood floors, a 15 month old with a knack for scaling furniture, and two lab mixes who shed so much that she could have a successful side-business if sweeping were profitable.  Follow her on Instagram @sylviegrahan or head over to her Facebook page to see more of her recent work.  If you’re looking for a photographer in Minnesota to document your family’s story, please contact her for a session!
